Dan Hooker took it easy on IShowSpeed during a friendly spar … but not too easy.
IShowSpeed has mixed it up with a lot of different athletes during his streams, but no one has taken the fight to him like UFC lightweight Dan Hooker.
The popular streamer has stepped in the ring with Manny Pacquiao, challenged Muay Thai fighters in their gym and messed around at Cambodia Top Team. But everyone generally took it easy on Speed. Not so much the folks at City Kickboxing. Dan Hooker clearly held back and only gave a small percentage of his skills, but still uncorked quite the ass whupping on the 19-year-old influencer as he travelled across New Zealand.
The stream started with IShowSpeed sparring another member of CKB before asking Hooker for a go.
“Say less,” Hooker replied with a smile.
“You picked the wrong one!” someone in the gym called out.
As the two prepared to spar, Speed repeatedly tried to convince Hooker to go easy on him and slowly build up in intensity
“You can do whatever you want, but don’t break my s— because I still gotta stream, you know what I’m saying?” he said. “So we’re not trying to break nothing, but we can go at it.”

A minute later Hooker hit IShowSpeed with a liver shot that doubled over the streamer and left him wincing on the canvas for a few minutes. When the two resumed, Speed showed his speed and put a punch over the top that actually landed on Hooker. “The Hangman” responded by bullying his opponent into the cage and unleashing a series of unanswered hooks that buckled Speed to the canvas again.
In the past we’ve seen Speed beat Alex Pereira while messing around with one of those punching machines. There was no moral victory for Speed in this one outside of his willingness to get back up and continue taking a beating.
Well … compared to some other streamers like N3ON and Sneako, he did great. But that’s not exactly the highest bar. Still, he’s the undisputed champ of streaming right now, and he just exposed a whole new world of young people to Dan Hooker. So that’s a positive thing in our eyes.
