UFC middleweight contender Vitor Belfort shared news with his fans on Facebook that he was accepted into Stanford University, but did not say when he would start attending or what classes he would take.
Vitor Belfort doesn’t want to be just a fighter. Out of nowhere, “The Phenom” broke out the news on his Facebook that he was accepted into the prestigious Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Although he did not specify what classes he would be taking or what his major would be, Belfort was excited to share the moment with his fans.
“I’m very proud to tell you guys I have been accepted into Stanford University, one of the main institutions of learning and research in the world. I learned that education and sport are the bedrock for any person, but education comes first, no doubt about it. It’s never late to go after your dreams. All it takes is believing and hard work.”
Belfort also did not say when he would start attending, however he does have a fight scheduled against Ronaldo Souza, at UFC 198 on May 14th in Brazil. The PPV event is targeted to be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between Fabricio Werdum and Stipe Miocic.
