Volcanic ash grounds Jim Wallhead, Ryan Thomas takes vacant Bellator 15 tourney slot

Ryan Thomas got some justice, after all.

After a controversial stoppage in an opening-round welterweight-tournament loss to Ben Askren this past week at Bellator 14, officials today announced Thomas has replaced Jim Wallhead in a tourney bout with Jacob McClintock at Thursday’s Bellator 15 event.

Wallhead is grounded in England and unable to fly because of volcanic ash that’s plagued European air travel.
