Check out the weigh-in results and staredown for Saturday’s IBF featherweight title match between champion Josh Warrington and Carl Frampton.
Arguably the most important boxing match of the penultimate weekend of 2018 takes place at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. At stake is the IBF featherweight title, as Leeds native Josh Warrington (27-0, 6 KOs) defends his title against former WBA champion Carl Frampton (26-1, 15 KOs) in an all-UK clash that should not disappoint. It is expected that the Warrington-Frampton winner will face WBO champion Oscar Valdez in a unification clash in 2019, and that should be pure fireworks if you’ve never seen Valdez fight.
Friday’s weigh-in went off without incident, as Warrington came in at 125.6 lbs, while Frampton also went under the 126 lbs limit, weighting 125.9. Watch the weigh-in and staredown video below.
BT Sport Box Office carries the fight on Saturday, December 22nd at 6 PM local time, with the main event expected at around 10 PM local time. American viewers can watch the entire card at 1 PM ET on the ESPN+ streaming service. Bloody Elbow will have live coverage of the main event.
