I’m so out of touch, I had no idea they were making a new Charlie’s Angels movie. But I don’t feel so bad, because Hollywood is so out of touch, it had to reboot a movie that was made in 2000 based on a television show that first aired in 1976.
Next thing you know they’ll try to resurrect the Terminator franchise with a 72 year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger and a 62 year-old Linda Hamilton.
Oh wait…
Anyway, the Charlie’s Angels movie soundtrack recently dropped its first single, featuring pop stars Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey, and Miley Cyrus, the latter of whom had the thankless task of getting slugged by Bellator MMA flyweight champion, Ilima-Lei Macfarlane.
I’m not really sure why, or what it had to do with the lyrics, but L.A. Times tells me this video is “fierce,” presumably because its female protagonists clomp around the sound stage with clip-on wings while scowling at the camera.
Perhaps this is why the “shrug” emoji was created.
As for Mcfarlane (10-0), the “Ilimanator” was last seen stopping Veta Arteaga at Bellator 220 back in April.
