You’ve likely already seen Joaquin Buckley’s dazzling spinning head kick knockout of Impa Kasanganay at UFC Fight Island 5 a few hundred times already, so what’s that harm in seeing it once more?
This time, however, you can witness “New Mansa’s” bonus-winning, praise garnering, jaw-dropping finish over and over again in a different angle and in slow motion in the video player embedded above.
The combat world was buzzing at Buckley’s perfect execution of the finishing move, the first of its kind inside the Octagon, if not in all of mixed martial arts (MMA). Even UFC President Dana White was floored, taking the time to halt Buckley’s backstage interview in order to give him his props and tell him ahead of time of the extra $50K coming his way.
A gesture that really made “New Mansa’s” night.
Being that talk of the combat world, Buckley is sure to enjoy his newfound fame thanks to his highlight reel finish that will likely garner him several interviews, appearances and other opportunities in the coming weeks.
More importantly, the kick got him back in the win column and could set him up for a bigger fight in his next outing. Any suggestions as to who the powerful and creative striker should fight next?
