Most mixed martial arts (MMA) fans remember when former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Jose Aldo sent Chad Mendes into hibernation at the UFC 142 pay-per-view (PPV) event — then bolted into the crowd to celebrate his win over “Money.”
If not, watch it again here.
“Junior” was upsetting commissions long before that, hauling ass into the stands to exchange bro-signs with fans as part of the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) event in early 2009, back when the Brazilian treated Rolando Perez like an egg full of Silly Putty.
Aldo, who is now a contender in the bantamweight division, will attempt to win his second world title in a UFC 251 feature fight against rising slugger Petr Yan, and the promotion was good enough to release “Junior’s” highlight reel to remind you what he’s capable of.
With that in mind, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before an unflushed turd posts a GIF of Aldo’s knockout loss to Conor McGregor … ya’ know, because any fighter who loses on the grand stage is washed up/exposed/shot and whatever else. Anyway, sit back, relax, and enjoy the next five minutes of violence and hope for more of the same this weekend in Abu Dhabi.
