Before Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz run it back again at UFC 202 on Aug., 20, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada, take a trip back to UFC 196 earlier this year to relive the shocking moment Diaz upset “Notorious.” Better yet, see it through the lense of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight champion, Georges St-Pierre, who was in attendance sitting ringside in “Sin City” to catch the 170-pound showdown.
In the latest installment of “Full Blast,” St-Pierre gives his best play-by-play of the bout, which saw the Stockton slugger submit McGregor via rear-naked choke in the second round (see the full fight here).
He may not be Joe Rogan, but it’s a unique chance to see one of the biggest stars in UFC history give his thoughts and insight on one of the biggest fights and upsets of 2016. And it’s safe to say “GSP” was impressed with Diaz’s performance.
