Watch teaser trailer for Conor McGregor’s ‘Notorious’ movie from Universal Pictures (Video)

My one regret heading into this movie is that Don LaFontaine is not alive to voice the opening.

“In a world, where one man can make his pro boxing debut against one of the greatest pugilists of all time, a long avenger from Stockton, California, awaits his rubber match.”

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion and former 145-pound kingpin Conor McGregor is getting his own movie, aptly titled “Notorious,” at some point in late 2017 or early 2018. Universal Pictures will be happy to know that early reviews are mostly positive.

“A raucous good time!” —Irish Fanboy, iblowchunks.com

“Five shamrocks!” —Harry Hack, The Dublin Sellout

According to the official website, “Notorious” was filmed over the course of four years (because nothing warrants a movie like a win over Marcus Brimage) and gives fans an exclusive, all-access account of the Irishman’s meteoric rise to superstardom.

No doubt the film will include his upcoming boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. (more on that here), though it will be interesting to see how a loss affects the film’s narrative.

Coming soon!
