Things got crazy after the referee didn’t quite separate his fighters well enough.
Things got a bit out of hand down this weekend at Imortal FC 9 in Maranhao, Brazil when two fighters just couldn’t wait a few seconds to get back to beating the crap out of each other. Flyweights Joao Elias and Walter Neto Martins were separated by the ref so a doctor could inspect a cut, but when the ref stepped away for a moment the two quickly slid back into brawling. The referee tried his best to stop the action properly, but it ended up taking several cornermen flooding the cage before sanity was restored. Do we even have to tell you that this was a double disqualification?
