Join us at Bloody Elbow as we talk the first WBKFF event, featuring a bout between Chris Leben and Phil Baroni in the main event.
The WBKFF is putting on their debut event today in Casper, Wyoming tonight, and Bloody Elbow is the place to discuss it. While there has been a bit of card upheaval in the last couple of days, it seems that the event is set to go forward with a bunch of names MMA fans are probably familiar with.
The main event will be for the promotion’s light heavyweight title, and will see Chris Leben taking on Phil Baroni. The co-main, for the middleweight title, was supposed to be Johny Hendricks vs. Brennan Ward, but Ward pulled out at the last minute over a contract dispute, and will be replaced by Dakota Cochrane. For the record, former NFL player Shawne Merriman pulled out of his bout due to a contract issue as well.
The event will air on internet PPV on Fite TV for 29.99 and can be ordered through regular PPV providers as well. The main card begins at 10pm ET/7pm PT. It’s unclear when the prelims kick off, but it appears they will be streamed in some manner than the promotion still hasn’t publicized yet.
