WEC 48 fighter salaries: Jose Aldo leads $336,500 payroll with $40,000 payday

WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo established himself as one of the
world’s top fighter with a five-round destruction of former champ Urijah
Faber, he also earned an event-high $40,000 payday at this past
weekend’s WEC 48 event.

recently requested and today received the list of salaries from the
California State Athletic Commission.

The total disclosed payroll for the event was $336,500 – a WEC record
and $100,000 more than was disclosed for March’s WEC 47 event.
