This weekend’s fight calendar is all over the place, so clear your schedule, sit back, and enjoy all the action.
We’ve had a few crowded fight weeks since the world was turned on its head, but this may be among (if not the) highest quality ones so far. There are a few familiar places to dot the landscape, including some in different and not-so-surprising places. But there’s also the return of the bonkers attraction that is Fight Circus, among other fun oddities.
LFA 95 had planned to have have an excellent matchup for the currently vacant lightweight title, with standout submission threat Arthur Estrázulas (12-4) meeting another certified grappler in Nick Browne (10-1). Unfortunately that bout has been cancelled due to Coronavirus.
Instead, Izzy Adesanya killer Alex Perieira (yes, that Alex Pereira – 2-1 MMA) makes his LFA debut against Thomas Powell (4-4) in a five fight card featuring a host of strong regional competition looking to make a splash and get a shot in the big leagues.
LFA 95 starts Friday night at 9:00pm EST, streaming live on UFC Fight Pass.
Mexico’s Lux Fight League is also back, flourishing under the current circumstances with prime Mexican prospects from top to bottom.
Former UFC fighter Polo Reyes (8-7) headlines this one against former Combate Americas fighter Ricardo Arreola (8-7) at featherweight. Another Combate Americas vet, Pablo Sabori (10-6), takes on Brazil’s Erivan Pereira (13-2).
Keeping to the theme, with more former Combate talent, Enrique Rodriguez (10-2) meets Jorge Calvo Martin (11-5) in a flyweight scrap.
Well-travelled Argentine Silvia Gomez Juarez (7-2) will look to bring her aggressive approach against Diana Reyes (6-4).
Lux Fight League 011 starts Friday night at 10:00pm EST, also streaming live on UFC Fight Pass.
iKon will also be gracing your screens this week, and will also be running a show live from Mexico. Another former Combate Americas fighter headlines this one as well, when Alejandro “El Pato“ Martinez (11-4) tries to extend his win streak to three as he faces dynamic striker Daniel Vega (12-3).
Marco Antonio Elpidio (10-3-1) (yet another Combate Americas vet) sticks to lightweight against Oziel Rodriguez (6-4). American Top Team’s Kayla Hracho (1-2) will have her sights set on evening out her record against Jessica Solis (0-1).
iKon Fighting Federation also starts on Friday night 10:00pm EST. Yes, it will also be streaming live on UFC Fight Pass.
Fight Circus is finally back and live from Thailand, with some bonkers MMA and not-quite MMA. There’s a bare knuckle fight between TJ Chang and Whanphichit Sriphana in the main event, and that’s probably the most normal fight on this card.
A guy called Panda Banks is fighting three guys at once. That’s preceded by a fight that’s literally “kicks only” Tetee Sae-Be and Tac Arakphotchong. A fight between two bands, a women’s “leg wrestling“ bout, and a pair of brothers fighting some chunky guy named Ali Mohammed, whom you may remember from the previous event.
Rocky Bactol and Tang Mo meet up for an openweight fight (which we truly should see waaaaaaaay more of), and a gentleman I presume to be related to Rocky called Young Bactol meets a man that actually looks like a pro fighter in a leg kick contest.
This card is presented by Fight Circus but streaming live on Camsoda. As someone that wants to keep his job, I will not be linking to CamSoda. But you can totally check out Full Metal Dojo’s site for the event, which will link to where you need to be.
Full Metal Dojo presents Fight Circus starts Saturday night at 10:00pm EST, and you can get to where you’re going on the Fight Circus website to see the event for free.
Fighting Force Promotions has a compelling event this week as Titan FC COO headlines their event live from the Dominican Republic, making his pro debut at heavyweight. The 49-year-old takes on Justin Thornton (6-17) live from the fencing pavilion at the Santo Domingo fencing pavilion.
Former Titan FC fighter Micaias Ureña (5-2) defends his bantamweight title against Miami’s own Ryan Kuse (1-0 pro, 8-3 amateur).
Fighting Force (not the video game) 4 takes place this Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm EST, streaming live on UFC Fight Pass.
Titan FC returns to action as well, also from the same venue as Fighting Force but the day after. Former UFC fighter Michael Graves (9-1, 2 draws) has a tough task ahead of him when he faces Oton Jasse (20-6).
Edward Massey (5-5) meets former PFL tallent Matt Wagy (13-7), and local standout Lucas Marte (5-1) takes on Ty Kalista (3-3).
Titan FC 65: Graves vs Jasse takes place this Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm EST, also streaming live on UFC Fight Pass.
