The undisputed junior middleweight title fight is now official!
The big fight on Saturday night is an undisputed junior middleweight championship fight between Jermell Charlo (34-1, 18 KOs) and Brian Castano (17-0-1, 12 KOs) at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Charlo has the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles whereas Castano carries the WBO belt. These two will vie for the right to be called the unquestioned best 154 lbs boxer in the world and carry all the belts.
There were no issues on the scale on Friday, as both men weighed under the limit to make tomorrow’s championship fight official. Things did get heated in the faceoff, and separation of both camps was required.

The co-main event between Rolando Romero and Anthony Yigit did have a big problem, however. For an interim lightweight title fight, Yigit came in at 140.2 lbs… a full weight class above where he was supposed to be. He took this fight on short notice but he’d been preparing for a 135 lbs fight on the undercard anyway, so this was pretty terrible. The fight will proceed but Yigit will get fined a chunk of his purse.
You can watch the main even weigh-ins at the top of the page.
Main Card (Showtime, 9 PM ET)
Jermell Charlo (153) vs. Brian Castano (153.25)
Rolando Romero (135) vs. Anthony Yigit (140.2) – Yigit missed weight. Badly.
Immanuwel Aleem (162) vs. Amilcar Vidal (161.5)
Bloody Elbow will have live coverage of Charlo vs. Castano, including round by round updates and highlights.
