Former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum wants to return to the Octagon against Alexei Oleinik.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum still wants that fight against Alexei Oleinik. Once paired up to take on the ‘Boa Constrictor’ in Septmeber 2018, the Brazilian was forced to leave the fight after failing a USADA exam, after testing positive for banned substance Trenbolone and suffering a two-year suspension.

However, Werdum recently received a 10-month reduction from his suspension as a result of ‘substantial assistance’, which now makes Fabricio elligible to fight again after April 1, 2020.

Now on the final stretch of his suspension, ‘Vai Cavalo’ took the chance to quickly call out Oleinik after Alexei scored an armbar submission victory over Maurice Greene at UFC 246, challenging the Russian veteran to be the one to welcome back into the Octagon, on Twitter.

In his last outing, back in March 2018, Fabricio Werdum (23-8-1) suffered a knockout loss to Alexander Volkov. The defeat snapped a two-fight winning streak for the 42-year-old, with a submisison win over Walt Harris and most recently, in November 2017, a unanimous decision victory over Marcin Tybura.
