Dana White isn’t known for being a cheapskate outside the Octagon. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president once dropped a cool $1 million to celebrate his son’s birthday party, and even tipped a lucky waitress $4,000.
Now, the Albuquerque, N.M., chapter of the Girl Scouts is jumping for joy after UFC’s super-generous head honcho purchased a whopping 1,000 boxes of cookies from Michelle Waterson’s daughter.
And the sales pitch was as adorable as you’d might expect:
“Hey Mr. White, I know you are a tough cookie because you are the boss of UFC. I’m a tough cookie, too, because I’m the boss of Girl Scouts. So, from one boss to another, please help me reach my goal of selling 2,000 boxes of cookies. My dad will make it super easy for you. He is going to throw the link to you, click on the link if you want to buy some cookies, and I think you will, they will deliver right to you. So, if you have any problems with your fighters or your business, let me know, my door is always open.”
Put me down for a couple boxes of caramel delites, please!
White recently inked a new seven-year deal with UFC, which will see him stay with the promotion for the foreseeable future. The extension came on the heels of the blockbuster announcement that ESPN+ will now serve as a one-stop shop for all things UFC in the United States, pay-per-view (PPV) included, which also came with a contract extension.
As for Waterson’s daughter, she just set a one-time sales mark that will be hard to top.
