Reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 265-pound champion, Stipe Miocic, is expected to complete his heavyweight trilogy against former division kingpin, Daniel Cormier, at some point in early-to-mid 2020.

Just as soon as he’s done healing up from their last fight.

“100 percent, that’s what we’re waiting for right now,” White told Rich Eisen (via MMA News). “Stipe’s still hurt. Stipe got pretty busted up in that fight against Cormier, the last one. So we’re waiting for him to heal up, and they’ve both agreed to that fight.”

Cormier is expected to retire, win or lose.

Miocic dropped the title to “DC” at UFC 226 back in early 2018, then opted to ride the pine until the Olympian was ready to grant him a rematch. The wait paid off, as the part-time firefighter reclaimed his crown at UFC 241 last August.
