Dana White says nobody is kicking down his door to be a replacement for Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor 3.

Dana White is currently looking for a backup fighter for the upcoming trilogy bout between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor at UFC 264.

Both men have an excellent track record for making weight and showing up on fight night but, in the age of COVID-19, anything could happen at a moment’s notice.

That’s why White, 51, is desperately seeking a replacement fighter should either ‘The Diamond’ or ‘The Notorious’ be removed from the card at the last minute.

According to him, however, no one is currently stepping up to the plate.

“I’m actually looking for someone right now to be the backup on that card. Nobody’s jumping out. Nobody’s kicking down my door,” the UFC president told Bleacher Report’s Tom Taylor in a recent interview.

When asked whether the winner of Poirier vs. McGregor 3 would go on to face Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title, White admitted that he hasn’t looked that far ahead.

“I don’t know. I gotta watch this fight and see how it plays out,” he said.

UFC 264: Poirier vs. McGregor 3 is scheduled to take place on July 10 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
