Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight, Rachael Ostovich, is “totally cool” with having Greg Hardy fighting on the same card as her, despite criticism from the combat sports media that skewered promotion president Dana White for his insensitive booking.

Hardy has been a controversial addition to the UFC heavyweight roster because of his history of domestic violence (more on that here). Just last month, Ostovich was hospitalized after her husband allegedly busted her up during an argument at their home in Hawaii.

White made sure to call her and “walk her through the situation,” because he’s good like that.

“I called Rachael Ostovich and talked to her and walked her through this situation,” White told TSN Sports. “And her take on it was, ‘His story isn’t my story. Everybody’s story is different, and I believe in second chances. I have no problem fighting on the same card as this guy.’

I guess the services of Allen Crowder will no longer be needed.

“He didn’t do anything to Rachael Ostovich,” White said. “Obviously, having her support was a key factor in making that decision. Everybody can make it an issue if they want to. Rachael Ostovich doesn’t have an issue with it, and that’s all that matters to me.”

Hardy joins Ostovich on the UFC on ESPN+ fight card inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Jan. 19, 2019. The former throws hands opposite the aforementioned Crowder while the latter makes war with ex-strawweight sensation, Paige VanZant.
