MMA: UFC 232-Cyborg vs Nunes

If Cristiane Justino doesn’t end up rematching Amanda Nunes for the women’s featherweight title, promotion president, Dana White, wants to make sure fans understand that “Cyborg” is to blame.

Sure, the Brazilian demanded an immediate rematch after getting put down by “Lioness” at UFC 232 back in December, but Justino has just one fight left on her current contract and already has potential suitors (like this guy).

Which may be why White is getting the rhetoric out there bright and early.

“I think it’s pretty obvious why she wouldn’t want that fight,” White told TMZ. “It’s a bad fight for her. I think that [Cyborg] is at the point where she’s afraid to lose again. Losing again isn’t something she’s interested in.”

To her credit, Justino was right back in the limelight following her brutal loss to Nunes, the first time she’s tasted defeat in over a decade. It was a sharp contrast to what happened to Ronda Rousey after getting smashed at UFC 193.

“Rowdy” hid behind a pillow and took a year off, all while getting unconditional support from White.

If and when the Nunes rematch ever takes place is unknown, but “Cyborg” can’t make any future plans until she gets past Felicia Spencer at the UFC 240 pay-per-view (PPV) event this weekend in Edmonton.
