Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) looks to continue its expansion across Asia, setting its sights on future mixed martial arts (MMA) events in South Korea, home to existing combat sports promotions like ROAD FC, among others.

In fact, promotion president Dana White is already making plans for a debut event.

“South Korea is a huge focus for us right now,” White told TMZ. “They’re building a new arena down there that’s supposed to be incredible and we’re looking at going there as soon as it’s done.”

I hope he doesn’t mean the new Olympic stadium in Pyeongchang, because the government is tearing that shit down after four events.

The promotion has no shortage of fighters from South Korea, certainly enough to populate a televised main card, thanks to the top talents like “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung, featherweight “Super Boy” Doo Ho Choi, and of course, 10-year UFC veteran Dong Hyun Kim.

As White always says, “We’ll see what happens.”
