Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White appears to be in no big hurry to commit to disciplinary action against former lightweight champion Conor McGregor, who got arrested earlier this month for his glass-shattering, injury-causing bus attack.

But his procrastination may have less to do with his respect for “Notorious” and more to do with the New York legal system, which is expected to hand down its own punishment when McGregor returns to court in June.
“We’ll see what happens,” White told TMZ. “He’s gotta be punished by the law first, let’s see what happens in New York. He’s gotta go through that first.”
Just don’t expect it to interfere with a Khabib Nurmagomedov title fight.
“If you do a fight that big, you gotta do it in Vegas,” White said. “Khabib will fight in Russia at some point, but it won’t be that fight. It’s too big, you gotta do it in Vegas.”
Prior to his run-in with Johnny Law, McGregor was planning an Octagon return in late fall. That’s right around the same time Nurmagomedov — captured the crown at UFC 223 — will return from his extended holiday break.
