“To talk about this kind of sh*t over and over and over again. That drives me f*cking bananas!”

UFC president Dana White has repeatedly come under fire for his indecisiveness regarding Tony Ferguson and Francis Ngannou, and he’s just about sick of it.

It’s widely acknowledged that both Ferguson (lightweight) and Ngannou (heavyweight) are the rightful No. 1 contenders of their respective divisions but White is noncommittal about either man getting the next title shot.

When Ferguson and Ngannou’s names were brought up in a recent interview with TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, White went off on a tangent and said he is sick of getting asked ‘dumb sh-t’ in the media.

“Anything can happen,” White said when asked about either Ferguson or Ngannou get the next title shot (transcript via BJPenn.com).

“Over who? There wouldn’t be,” White replied when asked who could possibly get a title shot over ‘El Cucuy’.

“Why do we talk about this? You guys love to talk about this dumb sh*t, that isn’t even here yet. You can’t talk about something until it’s here. What if this guy does this? And, what if this guy – who gives a sh*t?! Until it happens. Right? Ferguson could trip over the f*cking wire over there.

”You know what I mean. I don’t know! To talk about this kind of sh*t over and over and over again. That drives me f*cking bananas! Anything could happen. So we’ll see what happens in Abu Dhabi and then we will go from there. Because anything is possible.”

Although White was still reluctant to give a straight answer and clear up any confusion surrounding the issue, Ferguson is expected to challenge the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 while Ngannou will likely go on to challenge the winner of next month’s heavyweight championship rematch between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic at UFC 241.
