Fight week is officially upon us as the highly-anticipated — and often-criticized — boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will go down this Saturday night (Aug. 26, 2017) inside T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) — which is now an official promoter for the fight — has released the first episode of its “Embedded” series to document the build up to the 154-pound, 12-round boxing match.
In the premiere episode, McGregor gets some light work in inside the boxing ring, though we don’t get to see any actual boxing (click here for that). He does, however, take some time to great fans and pose for selfies in the middle of traffic … and get shot up by his teammates.
As for Mayweather, he and his “Money Team” have some down time at Topgolf, while showing he doesn’t have to worry too much about making weight as he scarfs down a Whopper from Burger King.
From the official YouTube description:
On Episode 1 of Mayweather vs. McGregor Embedded, Las Vegas’ two biggest names gear up for their monumental showdown. UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor continues to perfect his skills in the gym, as his coaches talk glove size and Game of Thrones. Twelve-time boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather and his team come out swinging at Topgolf, while McGregor’s camp works on precision at Top Shot.
