UFC Fight Night 28 suffered the fourth change over the past couple weeks, and Wilson Reis got the call to replace Johnny Bedford against Hugo Viana on Sept. 4 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

PVT first reported Bedford’s injury last week, and MMAFighting.com confirmed that Reis will replace him against “Wolverine”.

“Wolverine”, a TUF Brazil season 1 veteran, is 2-1 under the UFC banner. After moving his MMA record to 7-0 with victories over John Teixeira da Conceicao and Reuben Duran, the Brazilian suffered a first-round TKO loss to T.J. Dillashaw last April.

Reis, the first and only EliteXC bantamweight champion, signed with Bellator in 2009. He lost three times in the featherweight semifinals, and was released from the promotion after a loss to current bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas. He had a 5-4 record under the Bellator banner. Reis enters the Octagon riding a four-fight winning streak, including three submissions.
