WEC featherweight Chad Mendes has been considered one
of the top featherweight prospects in MMA for the past few years, but
the Team Alpha Male fighter insists the pressure of living up to those
expectations has never weighed heavy on him.
Well, until his WEC debut.
But after racking up victories over Erik Koch and Anthony Morrison under
the WEC banner, Mendes now preps for a WEC 50 bout with an always-tough
Cub Swanson next week in Las Vegas. And while the expectations are still
there, Mendes says the pressure isn’t.
