MMA pre-fight talk is often bland, even predictable. After all, in a
sport where fractions of inches and seconds can mean the difference
between winning and losing, why tip your hand and give opponents a
potential advantage?
But in advance of Saturday’s Bellator 59 event, heavyweight tournament
finalist Thiago Santos is making no attempt to hide
his strategy.
“I’m a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, and the ground is my world,”
Santos said. “I know if this fight with Eric Prindle goes to the ground,
I’m going to have the advantage.”
