When Chael Sonnen came within two minutes of
defeating UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva,
he did not get the benefit of an immediate rematch.

Instead, a CSAC suspension forced him to
the sidelines for one year, and he had to notch wins over Michael
Bisping and Brian Stann before he was granted another shot at the belt.

But if things go according to Sonnen’s plan at next week’s UFC 148 event, the self-described gangster from West Linn, Ore., won’t
force “The Spider” to wait around. Instead, Sonnen said he’s actually
hoping for an immediate rematch.
