Jake Paul said “everyone looked stupid” during yesterday’s press conference melee in Cleveland, and part of me couldn’t help but wonder what Paul thought everyone looked like before Tyron Woodley had to be restrained by security.
Isn’t this the same guy who walks to the ring with the Iron Giant?
Anyway, Paul and Woodley were ushered to safety after tempers boiled over in “Forest City” and now “The Chosen One” is letting everyone on Team Paul know that his mother’s honor is more important than the biggest payday of his pro career.
“When disrespect comes to my mother, it’s a whole issue,” Woodley told reporters. “Fuck this money, fuck this bag, fuck the PPV, fuck the fight. When it comes to that, it will not be tolerated. I addressed his camp because they’re a whole bunch of fucking goofies, and they are. At the end of the day, they didn’t like what I said which is the truth, so they started going back and forth and talking, which they are more than willing to do. But what you’re not willing to do is fucking talk to my mother any type of way. I don’t give a fuck if you’re a whole op, if you killed my friend, I’m never gonna speak on nobody’s mom.”
Woodley, who parted ways with UFC earlier this year, will make his professional boxing debut against Paul — already 3-0 as a pugilist with three knockouts — on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) this Sunday night (Aug. 29, 2021) — available to stream on FITE right here — from inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
“I’ll shake this whole fucking room in a way you ain’t never seen,” Woodley continued. “Fuck the UFC shit, fuck the knockout shit, I will start fucking hurting people, and you’ll see orange dropping, start hitting the floor. So I went over there and I sent my dogs over there to make sure everything was everything. And my sister, I know her, I know when she in posturing position. You think I’m trying to let somebody disrespect or touch my mom or my sister? No, it’s not happening like that.”
In the Aug. 29 co-main event, women’s pound-for-pound boxing sensation Amanda “Real Deal” Serrano defends her WBC, WBO, and IBO female featherweight titles opposite Mexican mauler Yamileth Mercado. Elsewhere on the card, Tommy “TNT” Fury, brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, collides with MMA veteran Anthony “Pretty Boy” Taylor.
