Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently announced that its next three events, UFC Fight Night 170, UFC Fight Night 171 and UFC on ESPN 8, have been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The promotion was trying its hardest to keep the show going, and was determined to at least stage this Saturday’s (March 21) event — which was set for London, England — somewhere in the United States. In the end, ever-growing travel bans and policies implemented across the world pretty much made it impossible.
Former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, reacted to the news by saying that upon the promotion’s return to normalcy, he wants to fight no one else but Colby Covington.
“Fans I’m sorry,” said Woodley on Instagram in regards to UFC London getting cancelled. I’m fucking shattered by this. I texted Dana White and told him I am in for Burns (Saturday only). I then was told the card was off,” he added.
“We will make it through this together, don’t take it lightly. When we are back and running, its me and clout chasing Covington. Don’t want to hear another name.”
That’s not exactly something Leon Edwards wants to hear, who was set to face Woodley at UFC London before the promotion finally went into shutdown mode. That’s why “Rocky” took to social media himself to fire back at “The Chosen One” for trying to “run.”

That said, Colby and Tyron have a history that dates back several years, so selling that bout wouldn’t be too hard for UFC.
Of course, there is no telling when UFC — as well as the rest of the sports world — will get be up and running again. Until then, why don’t you tells us who you’d prefer see Woodley face: Covington or Edwards?
