Tyron Woodley says quitting is not an option at UFC 260.

There’s a lot riding on the line for Tyron Woodley at UFC 260.

‘T-Wood’s’ career is potentially at stake as the former UFC welterweight champion has lost three straight fights and faces possible departure if he doesn’t beat Vincente Luque on Saturday in the UFC 260 co-main event.

Woodley, who turns 39 in April, said ‘quitting is not an option’ and is determined to end his career on top with the UFC welterweight title back around his waist.

“Life is not always a straight path,” Woodley told the media ahead of UFC 260 (h/t Damon Martin of MMA Fighting). “It can be, but we make choices, and I made choices in my life that veered me off that path. Those are things that I have to deal with, and quitting is not an option. I’ve got to go out on top like I plan to do.”

Although he doesn’t personally feel his UFC career is on the line, Woodley knows he has his work cut out for him on Saturday night.

“Could have gotten let go before this,” he said. “Could have let go after Gilbert [Burns]. Could have gotten let go after [Kamaru] Usman. Could have let go after [Darren] Till. It’s not up to me. It’s up to the organization, and I’m grateful that I got another chance to show myself, and in doing so, you guys will watch what I am, how great I am.”

UFC 260: Miocic vs. Ngannou 2 takes place on March 27 at the UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas.
