Tyron Woodley has some issues with UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo.
Henry Cejudo managed to solidify himself as one of the elites at UFC 238 when he became the fourth fighter in the roster to simultaneously hold to world titles. His character, however, is deemed cringeworthy by many.
One of those who have something to say about Cejudo’s personality is former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, who did not mince his words during his TMZ segment “The Hollywood Beatdown.”
“Henry Cejudo, sit down somewhere, dog. Sit down somewhere; you’re annoying everybody,” Woodley said (transcript by MMA News).
“He is a phenomenal fighter. It’s amazing that he’s been able to win an Olympic gold medal, which is more important to me than a UFC belt, because it’s the hardest thing that you can do in combat sports,” he continued. “He beat Demetrious Johnson, a pound for pound legend, won a belt in two divisions.
“So what I’m saying is that his resume is crazy in a very short period of time. But when you start doing that extra stuff, oof, just stop.”
Woodley also left a piece of unsolicited advice for “The Messenger.”
“Hey, man, you a beast. Keep killing it. Keep it up in the Octagon. Tone down the extraness by like 10. Take it down 10, and you set.”
Cejudo won the vacant UFC bantamweight title a week ago by defeating Marlon Moraes via third round TKO.
