Press Release – Wreck MMA is excited to officially announce the addition of a world class bout to the Wreck MMA: Road to Glory event on April 20th at the Casino Lac-Leamy in Gatineau. UFC and WEC veteran Kit Cope will be facing Ottawa’s own Jeff Harrison in an exciting featherweight tilt between two Muay-Thai specialists. Cope is a four-time Muay Thai World Champion with a record of 23-1 with 9 KOs. Harrison has been a CAMTAO Ontario Champion and WMF Canadian Champion while sporting a 28-8 amateur Muay-Thai record.

Both fighters are known for their excellent stand up skills and are expected to trade punches, kicks and knees for as long as the fight lasts. Cope has maintained that no MMA fighter is willing to stand with him but a trip to Canada may be all that’s needed to prove him wrong.

Cope has been featured in MTV’s True Life series where the show chronicled Kit’s training and journey to Thailand to fight in a bare knuckle match. Kit traveled to Mae Sot, Thailand on April 13, 2004 to fight Burmese opponents, Mojo, in the bare-knuckle fight event during the Songkran Festival. Kit won the fight by knockout in the first round. Cope was also one of three hosts on Wild World of Spike, a television series featuring amateur sports footage and the hosts’ attempts at recreating them.

Wreck is also excited to announce that ing the fight between ‘Relentless’ Randy Turner and Eric ‘Odalay’ Perez will now be for the Wreck Bantamweight Title. Both fighters are among the top bantamweights in Canada outside of the UFC and are looking to put a title around their waist. The fight between two aggressive fighters is expected to be a Fight of the Night candidate as Perez has made of habit of in the Canadian Fighting Championships.

Tickets are available from the fighters, via Ticketmaster.ca or by calling (613) 755-1111. Buy your tickets now as there are only 1500 seats available and this event will once again sell out!!
