World Series of Fighting (WSOF) will hold WSOF 30: “Branch vs. Starks” on April 2 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card will be headlined by David Branch defending his middleweight title against Clifford Starks, with a co-main event of Jon Fitch vs. Joao Zeferino to crown a new welterweight champion.

Today’s announcement from WSOF completes the “Branch vs. Starks” fight card with the announcement of five preliminary fights, which will air via WSOF.com at 8 p.m. ET before the main broadcast goes live at 11 p.m. ET on NBC Sports.

The headline fight for the “Prelims” portion of the proceedings will be a welterweight contest between Abubakar Nurmagomedov (11-1) and Matt Frincu (7-1).

The younger brother of Khabib Nurmagomedov is on a three-fight win streak and finishes 82-percent of his fights (six technical knockout wins and three submissions). Frincu’s streak is even longer at five and like Nurmagomedov, he’s unbeaten in WSOF.

The winner of this fight could arguably challenge the victor of the night’s co-main event.

Elsewhere on the preliminary card, the debuting “Thunderbeast” Steve Kozola (6-0) will face prospect Gil Guardado (5-1) in a 135-pound contest, and Adam Aquaviva (4-2) vs. Andres Ponce (3-2) will also be fought at bantamweight. An opponent for Clinton Williams (7-3) will be announced soon, but his match is confirmed for the card.
