Xtreme Fighting Championships plans to host ten MMA events in Brazil in 2014, and they will kick off the action in February.

The first XFC card in Brazil takes place in Sao Paulo on Feb. 8 with two tournaments, the promotion announced on Tuesday. The fight card, which airs live on RedeTV in Brazil, will be headlined by a lightweight clash between Clay French (19-6) and Thiago Meller (18-5). In the co-main event, Marcelo Rojo (6-1) takes on Fernando Vieira (8-2).

The eight-man lightweight tournament, which also takes place at the card, is finalized with Daniel Salas vs. Gilson Lomanto, Jonathan Ortega vs. Glaucio Eliziario, Giovanni Arroyo vs. Natan Schulte and Marcos Alderete vs. Alan dos Santos. The semifinals are expected to happen on April 26 and the final on May 31, sources told MMAFighting.com.

The fight card will also feature a female flyweight tournament. In the semifinals, Silvana Gomez Juarez faces off against Bianca Daimoni, while Mayerlin Rivas meets Daiana Torquato. The winners will advance to the final, which will take place on May 31.

According to sources close to the situation, Xtreme Fighting Championships’ next events in Brazil will feature more MMA tournaments. The featherweight and welterweight tournaments will start on March 15, while middleweight and female strawweight tournaments start on March 29.
