Watch Israel Adesanya’s raw reaction of Jorge Masvidal’s knockout win over Ben Askren.
Number four-ranked UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal made history on Saturday night at UFC 239. Not only did “Gamebred” become the first fighter to defeat Ben Askren, he is also the new record-holder of the fastest knockout in the UFC with a total of five seconds.
It was a highlight reel knockout that caught major attention. As seen on this short clip, UFC interim middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was in the middle of an interview with TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter when the finish happened.

“Ghetto Jesus! No f—ng way!” Adesanya exclaimed. “That’s the fastest knockout in UFC history, right?”
“The Last Stylebender” seemingly had no words for what he’d witnessed, until he gave a rather comical take about what happened.
“The n—ga planked. He brought planking back.” he said. “Cuban Jesus just knocked out… what’s his name?”
Masivdal earned a $50,000 bonus for his finish of Askren for Performance of the Night.
