Another Canadian has been added to the UFC’s Winnipeg debut.
Montreal’s Yves Jabouin will meet Dustin Pague in a bantamweight bout at UFC 161 on June 15 at the MTS Centre. The UFC announced the fight on Wednesday.
Jabouin (18-8), a Tri-Star fighter, is looking for a rebound after his knockout loss to Brad Pickett in September. Prior to the loss, he had a three-fight win streak.
Pague (11-7) fights out of Dulles, Va., and is likely in “win or be cut” territory. He’s 1-3 in the UFC, including decision losses to Ken Stone and Chico Camus in his last two fights.
UFC 161 will be headlined by the Renan Barao’s interim bantamweight title defense against former WEC champ Eddie Wineland. Besides Jabouin, other Canadians already announced for the card include Sam Stout, Ryan Jimmo, Sean Pierson, Mitch Clarke and Roland Delorme.
