UFC flyweight Zhalgas Zhumagulov is used to a life of chaos in and out of the cage, as a professional MMA fighter along with having two wives with six children.
Zhumagulov admitted to his polyamorous lifestyle during a recent interview with Let Me Interrupt You on YouTube. He most recently fell to Manel Kape over this past weekend at UFC Vegas 44 and has lost three of his last four fights overall.
But that hasn’t stopped Zhumagulov from practicing polygamy, which is widely accepted in his native Kazakhstan. It is a practice that is very limited worldwide but still decriminalized in some countries.
Zhumagulov admitted the details of his family life and how he deals with the stress of dealing with two intimate relationships at the same time.
“Yes, I have two wives—two wives and six children,” Zhumagulov said. “In principle, it’s normal. At first, there were challenges but now everything is fine.”
Zhumagulov also explained the benefits, in his eyes, of having two wives.
”Well, where did I leave from? If I left, for example, from my second wife, I go to the first. If I left the first, I go to the second. A day here, a day there,” Zhumagulov said.
Zhalgas Zhumagulov Is Candid About His Personal Life
Zhumagulov once thought of as one of the top flyweight prospects in the UFC, is in desperate need of a win after a recent losing skid. Aside from his one win against Jerome Rivera at UFC 264, he has yet to get back in the win column after tough losses to the likes of Amir Albazi and Raulian Paiva.
Before signing with the UFC, Zhumagulov competed with some success in smaller promotions such as Fight Nights Global and Zhekpe Zhek before getting his shot on the sport’s biggest stage.
