Scott Coker has once again added a former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter to his roster, as Cat Zingano has inked a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA.
After competing at Bantamweight during her stint with UFC, “Alpha” will transition to the promotion’s Featherweight division, with an opponent and debut date to-be-determined further down the road.
I’d like to officially welcome @CatZingano to @BellatorMMA‘s featherweight division.

Zingano and UFC parted ways earlier this year , ending her near six-year run with the Endeavor-owned mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion. During her stint inside the Octagon, Zingano went 3-4, losing four of her last five, which included a 14-second submission loss to Ronda Rousey in her lone title fight with UFC.
That said, Zingano was the last person to best current UFC “champ-champ,” Amanda Nunes, defeating her at UFC 178 via technical knockout.
Just last week, it was announced that Sergio Pettis would also be jumping ship to Bellator after five years with UFC. And earlier this year, Coker and Co. landed one of the biggest free agents in recent memory, as Cris Cyborg inked a record-breaking deal to fight for the Viacom-owned company, which could set up a potential bout between Cyborg and Zingano.
