Press Release – October 1, 2012 – Youtoo TV, a leader in interactive television, today announced it reached an agreement with KoldCast Entertainment Media, LLC to bring mixed martial arts (MMA) programming to Youtoo TV’s interactive fall TV lineup.

The deal paves the way for the AFC, Canada’s largest MMA organization, to air fights each Saturday night on Youtoo TV during a 2-hour block called, “Aggression TV MMA,” premiering Saturday, October 6, 2012. Youtoo TV reaches 15 million U.S. households.

Now, MMA fans will have the chance to be on TV during the program by recording a video, known as a “Fame Spot.” If chosen by producers, the viewer will appear on the show. Viewers can also interact with fighters by downloading the Youtoo mobile app or visiting Youtoo.com.

MMA is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of striking and grappling techniques used across a variety of other combat sports. In recent years, the sport has gone mainstream, attracting an ever-growing fan base.

Grove will debut, co-headlining a stacked AFC 13 card in Victori,a BC on November 3, 2012, which already has a spectacular main event in John Alessio versus Dave Mazany set to headline. Grove will be fighting for the first time on Canadian soil and is excited to put on a show for the fans. “All I hear is good things about this AFC promotion. I’m just stoked to get in the AFC cage and fight! I want to show these fans what “Da Spyder” is all about.”

Alessio (34-16) being a free agent had many options on where to sign, however, when the final decision had to made he chose the Aggression Fighting Championships. “The AFC and John Alessio have been speaking about this opportunity for years and now it has finally come to fruition. He has a huge fan base here and we are extremely happy to announce him as the AFC 13 main event in Victoria, BC on November 3rd. It just makes Natural sense” Says promoter Jason Heit.

John Alessio has fought for many of the major MMA promotions, including the UFC, WEC, PRIDE, DREAM and now the AFC.

OUT OF RETIRMENT TO FIGHT IN HIS HOMETOWN

Press Release – Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) – In addition to an already highly-anticipated main event between Joe “El Dirte” Doerksen and Kalib Starnes, AFC promoters are thrilled to announce that Winnipeg’s own Curtis Brigham (10-5) will come out of retirement to face the young and very dangerous Matt Trudeau (2-0) of Richmond, British Columbia. Brigham, the owner and head instructor of WAMMA and a BJJ black belt, will look to leverage his experience edge when he takes on the young and undefeated Trudeau.

Matt Trudeau is also an instructor, as he teaches out of Dynamic MMA in his native Richmond. He’s unbeaten under the AFC banner, making short work and finishing both his opponents in the first round. Trudeau will look to make a name for himself and establish his credibility as a threat in this next fight, which will be his toughest test to date. These two will meet at a catchweight of 140 lbs.

Also added to the card is Winnipeg fan favorite Dominick Blais (8-5), as he will go to battle against Lenny “The Show Stealer” Wheeler (5-2). Lenny will have his hands full with Blais and the thousands in attendance cheering for him. This fight will take place at a catchweight of 150 lbs.
