Anthony Smith speculated as to why Conor McGregor decided to troll him recently.

During UFC Vegas 42 last week, McGregor posted a now-deleted video of himself watching the broadcast and particularly laughing at and mocking Smith and Belal Muhammad who were serving as analysts.

“Lionheart” fired back earlier this week and believes he knows why McGregor has continued to mock other fighters over the years on social media.

“This is the second time Conor has come at me,” Smith said on his SiriuxXM show (via Middle Easy). “And this one’s not even my fault and I don’t give a sh*t what Conor thinks of me but I don’t know why he’s taken aim at me twice. But as I thought about it, I think I figured it out — Conor has been uber, uber successful. He’s made more money than he can ever spend…He’s made true, like, generational wealth. His kids’ kids’ kids’ kids are going to be just fine because of the things that Conor’s accomplished.

“What Conor can never get back is he’ll never be one of us again. And it drives him absolutely crazy. He used to be one of us. I found myself sitting at the desk wondering like does Conor miss what it felt like to be in the gym and just be one of the guys? Because he’s alienated himself from everybody.

“I’ve been around him a little bit. I don’t know him but I’ve been around him and he was one of the guys. And he kinda sold out and he starts taking shots at people and he kinda sold his soul for all that money. And that’s fine if that’s what you want to do. But I think sometimes, it’s less about him trying to get a headline…I think it eats him alive that he’s never going to be one of the guys again. He’ll never fit in in our group. He’s not one of our peers anymore. It’s not because we kicked him out and didn’t want him, it’s the total opposite.”

Anthony Smith: McGregor ‘Sh*t’ On Every One Of Us

Whether that’s true or not remains to be seen. However, if McGregor does want back in, the chances are next to impossible according to Smith.

“We wanted Conor [McGregor] to be one of us. He alienated all of us and now he wants back in and we’re not gonna let him in because he sh*t on every one of us…” Smith added. “He wants the whole world to think he’s the cool guy and we’re not when in all reality, in our private situations and in our small world, he’s the outsider.

“He’s the one no one’s letting back in.”

Muhammad hasn’t forgot either as he took the chance to mock the Irishman after UFC Vegas 43 last night.

Do you think Anthony Smith is spot on regarding Conor McGregor?

Sean Brady Eyes Belal Muhammad Vs. ‘Wonderboy’ Winner

Sean Brady initially didn’t name a future opponent in his post-fight Octagon interview last night after a decisive unanimous decision victory over #6 welterweight contender Michael Chiesa.

Brady extended his undefeated record to 15-0 in MMA and 5-0 in the UFC and is clearly ready for a step up in competition. While beating someone of Chiesa’s pedigree was certainly impressive and a breakout performance for the Philadelphia native, he was adamant that he’s only scratched the surface in regards to his ability in the octagon.

“I didn’t underestimate him coming in,” Brady told media post-fight at UFC Vegas 43. “I knew this was going to be a tough fight. Sometimes you get finishes, sometimes you don’t. … There’s just some guys who are dogs and they’re hard to get out of there.”

Sean Brady Wants The Winner Of Belal Muhammad vs. Stephen Thompson

When asked in the post-fight presser who he had in mind for his next opponent, Brady named the winner of the UFC Vegas 45 main event between #9 Belal Muhammad and #5 Stephen Thompson on December 19th.

“I think the winner of Belal and ‘Wonderboy’ would be fun,” Brady said. “I don’t know what they’re both ranked, but I know they’re in the top 10. I know the rankings come out on Tuesday, I’m sure I’m going to land somewhere in the top 10. Then yeah, we can go from there.” (Transcribed by MMA Junkie)

This is a smart callout from the 28 year old contender. It would be a perfect stepping stone for someone like Brady, who can build himself up towards a world title fight if he can string together a few more wins and keep his undefeated record in tact.

Conor McGregor’s Twitter shenanigans continue as he takes aim at Belal Muhammad and Anthony Smith while they were on the UFC analyst booth.

McGregor took a video of the two fighters breaking down some of the fights for UFC Vegas 42. ‘The Notorious’ posted the video on Twitter, but it has been deleted since. McGregor opens up the video with a cackling laugh before zooming in on Muhammad and screaming “What the f*ck is this?! Get this of my telly!”

To the naked eye, ‘Lionheart’s tie does look very funny and almost comically small. Upon closer look it is a regular tie, just tucked in his shirt.

It seems as if Muhammad didn’t take too kindly to Conor McGregor mocking the two analyst/fighters.

After the event, Muhammad was asked who he thinks Max Holloway should face next. Muhammad answered by saying he wanted to see Holloway fight McGregor and beat him. He also said he believed that Holloway would beat McGregor pretty easily and show why he is the better boxer.

McGregor was vocal for the entirety of UFC Vegas 42. He was very excited to see Holloway fight tonight as he posted on Twitter about it a few times. Those tweets have also been deleted, but thanks to screenshots we still have them.

McGregor was all over the place again today and has opened the door possibly for a fight against Holloway in the near future. After Holloway’s win over Yair Rodriguez tonight, he reiterated the fact that he is on the short list for a fight against McGregor.

The two met early in their career and resulted in ‘The Notorious’ taking home a unanimous decision win in 2013. Only time will tell what McGregor will do, as he has a lot of possibilities on his plate.

What do you make of McGregor’s antics during UFC Vegas 42.

UFC welterweight contender Stephen Thompson will look to get back in the thick of things in the 170-pound division against Belal Muhammad. The UFC has reportedly booked the welterweight matchup for a UFC Fight Night event in Las Vegas on Dec. 18.

Thompson makes his return to the cage for the first time since falling to Gilbert Burns by unanimous decision at UFC 264. Despite the loss to Burns, he’s won two of his last three against the likes of Geoff Neal and Vicente Luque. Thompson is hoping to earn one last shot at the welterweight title before his career ends, and he’s one of the few top contenders in the division that hasn’t faced Kamaru Usman to this point.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto was among the first to break the news on Thursday.

Thompson will face a tough test in Muhammad, who is on a six-fight unbeaten streak and is coming off of arguably the best performance of his career against Demian Maia. He shut down Maia’s grappling en route to a unanimous decision win at UFC 263.

Stephen Thompson looks to avenge his loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 264

Muhammad had been one of the names involved in the discussion for a short-notice bout against Leon Edwards at the upcoming UFC 269 pay-per-view. Edwards was supposed to face Jorge Masvidal on the card, but Masvidal pulled out due to an undisclosed injury.

It’s unclear whether or not Edwards will remain on the card, but Muhammad clearly wants an eventual rematch against him. Muhammad fought on short notice earlier this year against Edwards and suffered a nasty eye poke which resulted in the fight being ruled a no-contest. This will easily be Muhammad’s toughest test against Thompson next month.

Thompson has the opportunity to prove that he still deserves to be in the title conversation, while Muhammad is looking to add a big name to his resume in the octagon.

What is your early prediction for Stephen Thompson vs. Belal Muhammad?

Sean Strickland Wants To Meet Belal Muhammad In The Desert & Do ‘Some Weird Sh*t’ To Him

Sean Strickland

In a recent social media back and forth back between Sean Strickland and Belal Muhammad, Strickland shared his ‘fantasies’. about what he ‘would do’ to Muhammad.

Ever since Strickland’s win against Uriah Hall in July, the middleweight contender has quickly garnered a reputation for his outlandish comments and eccentric personality. Initially beginning with his comments in his post-fight interviews following the win. From he’d probably end up “cooking meth in a trailer” if he hadn’t made it to the UFC, to his addiction to adult content. He went on to say in the same interview “I would love nothing more than to kill somebody in the ring. Nothing more. It would make me super happy.”

Strickland also made similar comments on how he regretted not shooting a man in the head via his Instagram.

Strickland was scheduled to face Luke Rockhold at UFC 268 on November 6 but due to herniated discs, Rockhold withdrew from the bout. This lead to him being called out by welterweight Belal Muhammad, stating via Twitter “If they need someone for Strickland I’m down I hate that piece of trash.” Mohammad went on to state “he disrespected Palestine so I wouldn’t mind disrespecting his face”.

This lead to a heated back and forth which including Strickland stating “The next time I see you, I could just fucking backhand you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity you little fucking pussy.” But in Strickland’s most recent message he shared some rather strange thoughts.

“I want to make you an offer. You’re going to be in Vegas next week. Me and you, we can meet up in the desert dude and we can just do some weird shit together,” Strickland said in his Instagram stories. “Because it’s like, this is something that I’ve always fantasized about you know? And you are like a gazelle that wants to be a lion and you’re accepting what I want to do to you. And like dude, I want to do some weird shit to you man. Like oh man. It’s just so exciting that you’re just so okay with me doing it. Like there’s some things I’ve fantasized about for a long time and I feel like you’re going to let me do it to you.” (Transcribed by MMA Mania)

Although this back and forth is somewhat entertaining the reality is that the likelihood of this bout coming to fruition is extremely low. Although both are highly ranked (Strickland #7 Muhammad #9) they are in different divisions, Muhammad has never fought at middleweight and it would be on three weeks’ notice.

What do you think? Do you think Sean Strickland’s comments take it too far?

Sean Strickland wants Belal Muhammad to know how excited he is to live out his desert fantasies with him.

Sean Strickland has swiftly developed a reputation as one of the more, shall we say, ‘eccentric’ members of the UFC roster. In recent weeks, all that eccentricity was reserved mostly for his original UFC 268 opponent, Luke Rockhold. After going on vulgar rants aimed at Rockhold and threatening parking-lot violence, Strickland is now pushing out of the parking lot and venturing out into the desert. And he wants to take Belal Muhammad with him.

After Rockhold withdrew from UFC 268 due to back injury, one of the names that stepped forward to be his replacement was Belal Muhammad. Muhammad called out Strickland, whom he deemed to be a “piece of trash,” and received one of Strickland’s expletive-laden responses for his efforts.

One thing Muhammad took particular notice to beyond all the F-bombs and the like was Strickland’s mention of rankings. Since Strickland has said in the past that he doesn’t care about the rankings or the world title, Muhammad found the “rejection” to be more of a “revelation” of the type of man Strickland really is. And he was sure to let Strickland know that in the following Instagram post.

“After his last fight, <macho voice>“Aw, man, I’m a bad boy. I wanna kill somebody in the cage! I wanna be the first person to murder somebody! Blah-blah-blah, blah-blah-blah. I don’t care about titles. I’m an airhead; I’m a moron.’

“Now, it’s <wimpy voice>  ‘Oh, I want to fight ranked guys that are above me that are gonna get me closer to the title shot. And if it’s possible, can I fight in my hometown?’ <sigh> I know you had that fake persona. You’re soft.”

Sean Strickland Talks Desert Fantasies With Belal Muhammad

After viewing Muhammad’s video, Strickland decided to throw out an outlandish request to his challenger. While Strickland still doesn’t view a fight with Muhammad inside the Octagon to be feasible, he feels the two can meet up in the desert instead to do only Strickland knows what (Video courtesy of Twitter user @Tranracialangel).

“Muhammad, you need to know something, man. The UFC will never let us fight unless I get fucked up or you come to middleweight and get ranked,” Strickland said on his Instagram Stories. “And honestly, man, I’ll give you an offer because I fuckin’ like you, dude. I think you’re fuckin’ funny. I laughed at your Instagram post. It’s fuckin’ hilarious. But I want to make you an offer.

“You’re gonna be in Vegas next week. Me and you, we can meet up in the desert, dude, and we can just do some weird shit together, dude. Because it’s so wild to me. This is something I’ve always fantasized about, you know? And you’re like a gazelle that wants to be a lion, and you’re accepting what I want to do to you. And, like, dude, I want to do some weird shit to you, man. Like, ah, man, it’s so exciting that you’re so OK with doing it. There’s some things I’ve fantasized about for a long time, and I feel like you’re gonna let me do it to you.”

Sean Strickland, ladies and gentlemen.
