Current Pacquiao vs. Margarito Fight Odds –  Live on Saturday, November 13, 2010 the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas will host Pacquiao vs. Margarito.   Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao (51-3-2) will take on Antonio Margarito (38-6).  Margarito will need to use his reach, size and strength against the smaller Pacquiao.  Margarito likes to throw a high volume of punches and push the pace throughout the whole fight.  He will  want to keep the majority of the fight backing Pacquaio against the ropes trying to eliminate his speed and footwork.

Pacquiao should follow a similar game plan that he used against Oscar De La Hoya.  By staying patient and picking his spots.  Pacquaio would like to hold this fight in the center of the ring using his lighting quick jabs, and footwork keeping Maragrito off balance and guessing.  I believe this is Pacquiao’s fight to lose he brings a bigger arsenal of attack, plus we have already seen and heard about how the bigger man should win and he keeps proving them wrong.   Maragrito isn’t a bad Underdog to take here if the odds are right, he has an iron chin and comes to fight.

The fight held tonight on HBO PPV will be between Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz. The fights begin at 9pm EST but the main event won’t air until later. So far the Diaz vs Marquez odds are as follows.

As the odds show, Marquez is quite the favorite in this fight after his knockout victory over Diaz in the 2009 “Fight of the Year” as many were calling it. While both fighters gave an amazing fight, Marquez had better precision despite the constant onslaught of Diaz’s constant attack.

What won Marquez the fight in 2009? Staying off the ropes! When he was in the center of the right he scored his points, but when Diaz had him on the ropes, it was mostly Diaz neutralizing the veteran that is Marquez.

Diaz needs to keep him off the ropes and watch out for Marquez’s deadly upper cuts and over the top right hand. If Diaz can keep utilizing his powerful left hook, his odds will be good in this fight.

Both fighters are on somewhat of a “rebound” and this fight will hopefully catapult one of the other back into stardom. Whatever happens, if it’s half as good as the 2009, it will be worth the money to watch.

Personally I’m taking Marquez but may not be placing a bet on this fight because of the odds. I think the betting odds should reflect a closer fight simply because the last one ended in a knockout, which could have happened to either fighter. The last fight between them was a great fight, but Marquez has shown better talent over the years.
