Current UFC on FX 4 Betting Odds – On Friday, June 22, 2012, the fourth installment in the UFC on FX series will air live from the Revel Atlantic City in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  In the headlining bout, former title challenger Gray “The Bully” Maynard will look to rebound from the first loss of his professional career against aggressive wrestler Clay “The Carpenter” Guida.  These are easily two of the most skilled wrestlers in UFC’s Lightweight division, but it remains to be seen whether Guida’s hyper-aggressive style and seemingly limitless gas tank will be enough to trump the Octagon control and heavy-handed slugging of Maynard. Guida’s aggressive style and tenacious wrestling make him tough to deal with for most opponents, but he is going to have a hard time forcing Maynard to the ground and his boxing lacks the technique or power to shut Maynard down, so Guida is going to have his hands full in this one.

Current UFC 146 Betting Odds – On Saturday, May 26, 2012, UFC 146 will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, newly-crowned UFC Heavyweight champion Junior “Cigano” dos Santos will look to make his first title defense as he faces former UFC Heavyweight champion Frank Mir. Mir is a very well-rounded Heavyweight, with heavy-handed knockout power and submissions from a variety of positions most Heavyweights can’t work from. Dos Santos, though, is without a doubt the Heavyweight division’s most formidable striker, and no one has been able to stand in his way yet. If Mir can get this fight to the ground, where dos Santos has not been largely tested yet, he could be in a great position to reclaim his UFC title. Getting inside dos Santos’ considerable firepower, though, is a lot easier said than done, as Cain Velasquez could attest to. Will Mir’s versatility and experience be enough to stop dos Santos’ deadly striking? Only time will tell.

In the semi-main event, former UFC champ Cain Velasquez will square off against former Strikeforce Heavyweight champion Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. Both of these guys are coming off disappointing losses, so there is a lot on the line for both fighters. Both of these guys have heavy hands and good grappling, which makes this an interesting style matchup. Rounding out the card are three more featured Heavyweight matchups. In the first, undefeated prospects Stipe Miocic and Shane del Rosario will look to put the first blemish on each other’s professional records. In the second, heavy-handed slugger Dave Herman will face Ultimate Fighter winner Roy “Big Country” Nelson. In the last bout of the main card, recently triumphant Lavar Johnson will return to action against well-rounded Dutchman Stefan “Skyscraper” Struve.

Current Barnett vs. Cormier Betting Odds – On Saturday, May 19, 2012, the latest installment of Strikeforce will air live from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. In the main event, former UFC Heavyweight Champion and widely-regarded top 10 Heavyweight Josh Barnett will square off against undefeated wrestling prodigy Daniel Cormier. Cormier has looked great so far, with very heavy hands to back up his dominant wrestling and solid submissions, but Barnett is by far the most complete and dangerous fighter he has faced. Barnett has knockout power in his hands and one of the best submission games in the world at Heavyweight, so he is capable of testing Cormier no matter where this fight goes. With Strikeforce’s Heavyweight division looking like it is on its last legs and a merger with UFC seeming inevitable, a win here is huge for both guys if they want to position themselves as top contenders.

Josh Barnett vs. Daniel Cormier

Rafael Cavalcante vs. Mike Kyle

Bovada.Iv Odds

  • Cavalcante  (-175)
  • Kyle                (+145)

In the semi-main event, Josh Thomson and Gilbert Melendez will face off in a definitive rubber match. The first time these two met, Thomson was victorious, but Melendez has cemented himself as Strikeforce’s top 155 pounder and arguably the best Lightweight in the world, so Thomson is going to need a career performance if he doesn’t want to get manhandled like he did in their second fight. Rounding out the card are a Light Heavyweight matchup pitting former champion Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante against Mike Kyle and a Lightweight matchupbetween Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante and Isaac Vallie-Flagg.

In the main event, “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung will look to make it three wins in a row against surging Featherweight contender Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier. Both of these guys are extremely versatile and can end fights standing and on the ground, and both are very experienced against good competition, so this has all the  makings of an exciting and competitive bout in one the UFC’s most fast paced and entertaining divisions.

In the semi-main event, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone will look to rebound from a tough loss to Nate Diaz against heavy-handed striker Jeremy “Lil’ Heathen” Stephens in a Lightweight showdown. Stephens has fast hands and a surplus of knockout power, but Cerrone’s wrestling and grappling are dominant, so this is a throwback striker vs. grappler matchup, which is always fun to watch. The rest of the card features a Bantamweight matchup between Yves “Tiger” Jabouin and Jeff “Hellbound” Hougland, a Middleweight bout pitting Tom “The Filthy Mauler” Lawlor against Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald, and a Welterweight showdown between Amir Sadollah and Jorge Lopez.

On Saturday, April 14, 2012, the second installment of UFC on Fuel TV will air live from the Ericsson Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. In the main event of the evening, American Top Team’s Thiago Silva will square off against Stockholm’s own Alexander Gustafsson. Silva is a devastating striker, but has had mixed results recently and badly needs a win here. Gustaffson has powerful striking of his own to go along with an effective ground game and solid wrestling. This has all the makings of a very competitive fight, but if Alves wants to spoil Gustafsson’s homecoming he is going to need to find a way to apply pressure on the feet without getting caught by Gustafsson’s power shots and also find a way to keep this fight standing as much as possible.

Rounding out the card are a Welterweight matchup pitting Golden Glory’s Siyar Bahadurzada against Paulo Thiago, a Middleweight showdown between Alessio “Legionarius” Sakara and Brian “All American” Stann, and the Featherweight debut of Dennis Siver, who will face Diego “The Gun” Nunes in his first trip to 145.
