Poland’s FEN MMA returns this weekend, with FEN 32 set to go down in Warsaw on Saturday, February 20. The nine bout card will be headlined by a lightweight title fight that sees Mateusz R?becki taking on Argentina’s Jose Barrios.

R?becki’s most recent outing was last June at FEN 28. The 28-year-old is without question one of the top lightweights currently plying their trade in Europe. A BJJ black belt with an 11-1 record, it may not be too long before overseas promotions come knocking at his door.

“I have fought eight times on FEN, and I have 7 stoppages. I have fought for the championship five times so I guess it’s time to get into the UFC. My dream was to be able to make a living out of it and to do it as a profession. As of today, I am working in this profession so you can I am satisfied,” R?becki said in the buildup to this weekend’s clash.

” From the beginning I saw great potential , great skills and great ambition in him, and he showed that he was worth betting on” added FEN president Pawe? Jó?wiak.

In the co-main event light heavyweights, Wojciech Janusz and Marcin ?azarz face off in an eliminator bout, with the winner going on to challenge for the strap. The pair have previously faced off before, albeit under a different promotional banner. Their first meeting took place in 2016 and was the main event of Runda 6, with ?azarz earning a unanimous decision victory.

” I am looking forward to this duel and I am sure it will be the best fight of the night. This fight is the official eliminator for the championship belt in the light heavyweight category. No matter who wins it will be a rematch with the current champion Marcin Wójcik, “Jó?wiak said.

There will also be a pivotal heavyweight clash with Szymon Bajor and Ednaldo Oliveira, locking horns to see who gets to challenge Oli Thompson for his heavyweight strap.

FEN 31 was the first time that company had done an international PPV, and they look to continue their push into overseas markets, with FEN 32 also being available to international audiences.

MMA fans should buckle in for what is shaping up to be a contest of mammoth proportions. Polish MMA promotion KSW is known for putting on some of the biggest spectacles in MMA. However, the main event of KSW 59: Fight Code, scheduled to take place on March 20. looks set to raise the bar even higher.

After overcoming bodybuilder Erko Jun in the second round of their KSW 51 clash, Polish strongman and cult figure Mariusz Pudzianowski returns to the cage to take face Sengal’s Serigne Ousmane Dia, aka ‘Bombardier.’

The 6’6″ African powerhouse tips the scales at 308 lbs and is a Senegalese heavyweight wrestling champion. After taking up MMA in 2018, ‘Bombardier has racked up two straight first-round TKO wins.

Pudzianowski, a five-time world’s strongest man winner, is currently 13-7 as a mixed martial artist, with victories over the likes of Bob Sapp and Butterbean. The thought of these two giants squaring off inside the KSW cage should get fans excited, and we can expect the anticipation to ramp up the closer we get to the actual event.

KSW 58 went down today in Lodz, Poland. The event marked the promotion’s first show of 2021. Headlining the card was a featherweight title bout with France’s Salahdine Parnasse defending his strap against Brazil’s Daniel Torres.

The undefeated Parnasse came into the bout as bookies’ favorite, but Torres needed less than two minutes to overturn the odds and send Parnasse crashing to the canvas with a right hook.

While not picture-perfect, the shot saw the 26-year-old land on the side of Parnasse’s head, and the Frenchman looked instantly dazed and out of the contest. Torres is now 4-1 under the KSW banner and is riding a three-fight winning streak.

Szymon Kolecki claimed a unanimous decision victory over Martin Zawada in their light heavyweight clash in the co-main event. However, one of the undercard’s main talking points was the postfight-brawl between Shamil Musaev and Uroš Juriši?.

The Russian handed Juriši? the first loss of his career, with the judges awarding him a unanimous decision. All three scored the fight 30-27 in favor of Musaev, but after the contest, bad blood between the pair continued, with Musaev body slamming Juriši? to the ground. The incident is set to be reviewed by KSW’s officials.

FEN MMA went global today (Sat. November 28) with FEN 31 beaming out to the world from the Hotel Hilton in ?ód?, Poland. This event was only the second time in the Polish promotion’s history that a PPV option was available to international audiences. They aim to continue their push into new markets in 2021.

Headlining the event was a clash between local rivals Daniel Rutkowski and Adrian Zieli?ski. This contest was the second meeting between the two, with Rutkowski earning himself a unanimous decision victory in their first clash in 2019.

Rutkowski’s featherweight title was set to be on the line; unfortunately, Zieli?ski came in heavy on the scales. The poor weight cut did little to help the 33-year-old as Rutkowski controlled the bout from start to finish, mixing his striking game with grappling, permanently keeping Zieli?ski on the back foot.

The bout was still an entertaining affair as Zieli?ski kept looking for an opening to change the course of the tide, but after Rutkowski opened up a heavy gash above Zieli?ski ‘s right eye in the third round, the end result seemed inevitable. It came as no surprise to anyone watching when the judges unanimously have the win to Rutkowski.

A Bloody Co-Main Event

The co-main event was a good old fashioned barn burner between heavyweights Pawe? Tryba?a and ?ukasz Borowski. Both men came out to a fast start, throwing heavy shots and looking to land early. In particular, Borowski appeared willing to push the pace, and even if his technique was not of the highest order, you could not fault his willingness to trade inside the pocket with Tryba?a.

However, in the second, Tryba?a landed a shot to the heavily cauliflowered left ear of Borowski, which caused it to burst open and begin bleeding heavily. The injury meant that the referee had little choice other than to step in and stop the contest.

Two Champions Are Crowned

Earlier in the night, Marcin Wójcik captured the vacant light heavyweight title after he stopped Adam Kowalski in the fourth round. Wójcik unleashed a series of brutal strikes after taking Kowalski’s back, forcing the ref to bring the proceedings to a halt. Norway’s flag was also flying high after Jonas Magard overcame Poland’s Sebastian Romanowski to claim the vacant bantamweight strap. The pair went back in forth in a fight that had several eye catching moments and was never short of action.

FEN MMA is a relative newcomer on the international MMA scene, but FEN 31 showed that the company has the potential to become a player in the MMA landscape. The company will return on Feb 6 with FEN 32.
