Episode 5 of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America ended with one of the nastiest knockouts in TUF history, as Team Werdum bantamweight Marlon “Chito” Vera knocked Team Velasquez’s Enrique “Henry Bure” Briones clean out with an upkick from his guard. The timing of the shot was outstanding, as Briones was just getting to his feet; had the kick landed a quarter-second earlier, it would have been illegal. The victory was the first for the multi-national Team Werdum, who lost the season’s first four matches to Velasquez’s all-Mexican squad.

Following in the footsteps of Anderson Silva, Marcos Souza, and Magomed Malikov, a New Mexico-based bantamweight named Adrian “Killa” Cruz shattered his leg during a fight at RFA 18 on Friday night. As usual, it happened while Cruz was throwing a leg kick, which was checked by his opponent Justin Mitchell Linn. And while Cruz’s fracture ranks relatively low on the gnarliness scale, it’s kind of insane that this is at least the fourth time this has happened in the last nine months. Drink your milk, people.
After the jump: Sidemar Honorio kicks Matt Lozano’s arm in half at World Series of Fighting 13 on Saturday.

After the jump: Liam McGeary submits Kelly Anundson with an inverted triangle to win the Season Eleven Light Heavyweight tournament, and Ryan Couture chokes out Tom Bagnasco.
