Cory Sandhagen admits he’s grossed out by TJ Dillashaw.

The bantamweight duo are set to main event at UFC Vegas 32 this weekend.

If you’re going to be betting on this fight or any other this weekend be sure to check out Saturday’s fight night tips before doing so.

We have not seen Dillashaw inside the Octagon since January 2019 when he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Henry Cejudo in a flyweight title fight.

Following the loss, it was revealed that Dillashaw had tested positive for EPO. He was later suspended for two years and stripped of his bantamweight world title.

Sandhagen is the man tasked with welcoming Dillashaw back from his lengthy suspension. The winner of Dillashaw vs. Sandhagen will almost definitely be next in line for a shot at the bantamweight title after Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan rematch later this year.

Ahead of UFC Vegas 32 main event, Sandhagen made his opinion on Dillashaw’s cheating very clear.

“There are lines that you don’t cross in the sport. You shouldn’t try to cheap-shot people. You shouldn’t go outside of the rules while you’re in there,” Sandhagen told ESPN. “And you definitely shouldn’t do anything that is illegal in order to give yourself a huge advantage in a fight.”

Sandhagen says he isn’t overly concerned with Dillashaw’s sketchy past but did admit that he was grossed out by it.

“As a competitor, and really, as a person, really the only word that I could kinda come up for it is – it doesn’t bother me, T.J. has to live with T.J.’s decisions; I have to live with my decisions – but it is like a little bit gross in my opinion to put yourself in an illegal advantage in a one-on-one combat scenario and something that your really love,” Sandhagen added. “I mean, it’s gross. If there’s a word for it, it’s kinda just gross.” (Transcribed by Sportskeeda)

Do you agree with Cory Sandhagen? Is TJ Dillashaw’s dodgy past gross?

T.J. Dillashaw is making his long-awaited return to the octagon after a two-year USADA suspension.

Dillashaw waited for his opportunity to seek out a top-five bantamweight and his wait was granted by virtue of by #2 ranked Cory Sandhagen.

The two will have the cage locked behind them this Saturday at UFC Vegas 32. Amid fight week and even prior, Dillashaw has been very open with his EPO use, the same performance-enhancing drug that landed him a two-year suspension.

Through this openness, he gained an unlikely fan; UFC Hall of Famer and infamous steroid naysayer Michael Bisping.

Bisping remains extremely outspoken in his post-fight career against the use of performance-enhancing drugs in the sport of mixed martial arts. This stems back to Bisping’s fighting days when he faced steroid-using Vitor Belfort. He posted an 8-minute YouTube video about Dillshaw’s return and his overall thoughts about his steroid use.

Bisping said about Dillashaw, “T.J. Dillashaw has served a two-year suspension and he came out and he owned up to it, and I’ve got to say, I respect that. I do. Everybody knows my stance on steroids but the fact that he came out and he owned up to it, he put his hand up and said, ‘Yeah, I cheated, the pressure got to me,’ it’s refreshing. It’s refreshing to see. Most people make up some nonsense. They say it was some cream or a supplement of whatever. They come out with outlandish things to try and make up for it rather than just saying, ‘Hey, I did it. You got me.’ So I respect that.”

He goes on to say, “He served his two-year suspension. You may have different thoughts on that. Maybe you think he shouldn’t be here, he should be banned for life, whatever that is, but that doesn’t matter because the punishment was dealt, it was a two-year suspension, and he served that.” (Transcribed by MMA Fighting)

With Michael Bisping‘s vote of confidence, will T.J. Dillashaw prove at 35 years old that his title reign was not a result of prior substance use?

TJ Dillashaw wants to support Conor McGregor during his lowest moment in MMA but is struggling to do so because the Irishman has consistently made excuses for losing at UFC 264.

McGregor started well in his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier on July 10.

‘The Diamond’ took over midway through round one and put on a dominant display on the mat.

As the round came to a close, McGregor popped back to hit feet and exchanged shot with his rival. Both men missed but ‘Notorious’ fell to the floor with an apparent leg injury. The former dual-weight champion survived the round but the fight was waved off by the ringside doctor.

One glance at the slow-motion replay is all you need to figure out that McGregor suffered a horrific injury to his leg at UFC 264. It was later confirmed that he broke his fibula and tibia.

Despite falling short at UFC 264, McGregor has not let up with his trash talk and has been angling for a fourth fight with Poirier.

‘Mystic Mac’ has also publicly claimed he entered the Octagon with stress fractures to his leg on July 10. Although many people including two medical experts struggle to believe this was the case.

During a recent appearance on Food Truck Diaries, Dillashaw commented on McGregor’s antics since losing at UFC 264.

“I don’t know, man. He’s (Conor McGregor) digging himself into a hole right now,” Dillashaw said. “He keeps putting these videos out, making excuses, make himself look like an idiot. I want to back the guy now because he’s at his lowest low. I didn’t want to back him when he’s at the top. I want to back him now because he’s at the lowest low and what he has done for the sport. But he’s making it tough. He’s looking such an assh*le.” (Transcribed by Sportskeeda)

Do you agree with TJ Dillashaw? Is Conor McGregor looking like an assh*le due to his UFC 264 post-fight antics?

Following the loss, it was revealed that Dillashaw had tested positive for EPO. He was later suspended for two years and stripped of his bantamweight world title.

The 35-year-old is set to return to action next week. He’ll square off against Cory Sandhagen in what many believe is a number one contender fight. The winner of Dillashaw vs. Sandhagen will be next in line for a shot at the bantamweight title after Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan rematch later this year.

During a recent appearance on Food Truck Diaries, Dillashaw claimed he didn’t get any benefit from taking drugs to boost his performance. The former champ says his willingness to fight Sandhagen in his first fight back makes that much clear.

“If I thought I got somewhere due to PEDs, I wouldn’t be calling out Cory Sandhagen,” Dillashaw said. “I wouldn’t be asking for the top five. … I’m going to be a f*cking animal when I get back in the cage.”

The Ultimate Fighter runner-up, also spoke in detail about the vigorous lengths USADA went to following his positive test, to try to slander his name.

“People can go say whatever they want about the decision I made, but USADA actually put me under a microscope when I got in trouble, man,” Dillashaw said. “They went back to all my fights that they ever collected my samples, retested all of them all the way back to [the Dominick Cruz fight]. Because they keep an A and B sample every time you get tested.”

“No matter what, it’s gonna be like that,” Dillashaw added. “I made the mistake. That’s like USADA’s weapon to use against you — to really slander you so nobody else wants to do this sh*t. Those questions are valid because I f*cked up, I made the decision. But me being able to live with that, me owning up to it has made it f*cking easy.” (Transcribed by Middle Easy)

Do you believe TJ Dillashaw? Did using PEDs have no positive impact on his performances in the Octagon?

UFC bantamweight contender Cory Sandhagen is looking past former champion TJ Dillashaw in his upcoming fight, but there’s no doubt that he has title aspirations and big goals for his UFC career.

Sandhagen spoke in an exclusive interview with LowKickMMA’s James Lynch and provided an insight into his life and career in MMA. He will face Dillashaw at UFC on ESPN 27 later this month at the UFC Apex in a massive fight in the bantamweight division.

Sandhagen is also open to a potential number-one contender fight with Rob Font if he can get past Dillashaw in his next fight, but has a title shot in mind in case the negotiations between the champion, Aljamain Sterling, and Petr Yan for their rematch falls through.

“Everything under the sun has crossed my mind,” Sandhagen said. “A dream possibility would be that I fight for the title right afterward. But I have no problem fighting another tough guy after TJ to help build my name value. Right now, I’m working on becoming the best athlete I can be, and gaining experience is very important to me too.”

Sandhagen is looking to win his third straight fight since his devastating first-round submission loss to Sterling at UFC 250 last summer. He has accumulated knockouts over former title challengers Frankie Edgar and Marlon Moraes since his first loss in the UFC.

Dillashaw is making his return to the UFC octagon after a two-year hiatus from competition stemming from his USADA suspension for EPO use. Before that, he was widely regarded as one of the best fighters in the world and served as the UFC bantamweight champion after upending Cody Garbrandt to earn the title, and once more in his first title defense during his second reign as the belt holder.

Sandhagen vs. Dillashaw is one of the most highly-anticipated fights of the year and an extremely important fight in the UFC’s bantamweight title picture. Both Sandhagen and Dillashaw have a lot on the line leading up to their bout at the UFC Apex.

Do you think Cory Sandhagen deserves a title shot if he beats TJ Dillashaw?
