And though the winners on the list below were underdogs going into these defining bouts, it’s safe to say that they won’t be sneaking up on anybody else anytime soon.

Literally, that is the only word that I can come up with to describe UFC 116. Sure, there is typically at least one spectacular fight with an amazing finish. But who can remember the last time a fight card included no less than five come-from-behind wins and a razor-close split decision? I certainly can’t.

But with an amazing show of heart and resilience, and a chin of steel, Lesnar survived the first round and then closed the show in the second with a submission victory that kept the belt around the waist of the premier heavyweight in the game today.
