That’s according to MMA Junkie who verified the matchup with multiple people close to the situation. An official announcement is not made yet but should come soon.

Amirkhani is coming off a third-round TKO defeat to Shane Burgos at UFC 244 back in November. It was his first loss since 2017.

Grundy, meanwhile, made a successful UFC debut at the promotion’s London event last year but hasn’t fought since. He was expected to face Movsar Evloev at UFC Shenzhen in August but had to pull out due to injury.

UFC London is expected to be headlined by a welterweight bout between former champion Tyron Woodley and Leon Edwards.

A lightweight bout between Marc Diakiese and Stevie Ray has been confirmed by the UFC.

The two 155-pounders will settle their differences at UFC London which takes place at the O2 Arena in London on March 21.

The pair have gone back-and-forth on Twitter since 2017 and will now get the opportunity to fight each other. Diakiese also had a message for Ray following the official fight announcement:

Diakiese ended a three-fight losing skid after outpointing Joseph Duffy at UFC London earlier this year. He made it two wins in a row following another unanimous decision win over Lando Vannatta at UFC Copenhagen in September.

Ray, meanwhile, got back on the win column following a split decision victory over Michael Johnson at UFC Singapore in October. In total, he is 7-4 with the UFC since signing with the promotion back in 2015.

There is no confirmed main event for UFC London but it is expected to be a welterweight showdown between former champion Tyron Woodley and Leon Edwards.

Tyron Woodley was not a fan of Leon Edwards’ recent diss.

The two welterweights are reportedly set to square off against each other at UFC London on March 21. Edwards is notably confident ahead of the bout and poked fun at Woodley stating that he had his rap career to fall back on once he loses to him.

Woodley did not exactly appreciate those words. Replying on Edwards’ Instagram post, “The Chosen One” unloaded on the Birmingham native:

“Shut your bitch a** up before I don’t sign to fight you bum a**,” Woodley replied. “Nobody knows you, nobody cares, you a b*tch and ate a three piece and that’s your biggest claim to fame! ? ??? @leon_edwardsmma quit clout chasing and trying to add to your 50k followers. You’re embarrassing! Stop trying to talk sh*t you’re garbage at it just like your bum a** career. I’ve made more money in music than you’ve made in your entire career. Laugh at that you lil b*tch!”

Edwards is yet to respond but one thing is for sure — this reported welterweight fight between the pair just got a lot more interesting.

Bookmakers notably shared Edwards’ confidence too as they have him as the betting favorite ahead of the fight.

It looks like Tyron Woodley vs. Leon Edwards is the next fight for both competitors.

After initially being hesitant towards facing Edwards at UFC London, Woodley now appears to have had a change of heart as both fighters have reportedly agreed to the matchup for March 21.

It will be Woodley’s first fight since losing his welterweight title to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235 in March last year. And despite that being his only setback since 2014, the former welterweight champion has opened as a betting underdog.

As per Betting Insider Journal, “The Chosen One” is a +115 underdog while Edwards is a -147 favorite. That means you would earn $115 if you bet $100 on Woodley while you would need to stake $147 to win $100 on Edwards.

In a way, it’s not surprising. After all, Woodley turns 38 next year and has been pretty inactive since losing his title. Edwards, meanwhile, is 28 and currently on a seven-fight winning streak having most recently dispatched of former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.

However, Woodley is no stranger to being the underdog. And on March 21, he will look to make a point not only to the bookmakers, but the entire welterweight division as well.

Are you surprised by these odds? Who do you have winning?

Tyron Woodley has seemingly given in and will fight Leon Edwards in his own backyard of London, England.

MMA Junkie reports the matchup has been agreed to by both parties. UFC London will take place on March 21 from The O2 Arena in London, England. The date will be over a year since Woodley’s last fight, in which he lost the 170-pound title to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235. “T-Wood” has since posted a photo on Instagram seemingly confirming the matchup and his upcoming trip to London.

“Merry Christmas ?? @leon_edwardsmma watch what you ask for. Now you about to get fucked clean up at the crib! #NoChills #UFCLondon #March21 #MainEvent #Redemption –
@ufc send me that lil fancy flier to post!”

In a recent interview, Edwards suggested that Woodley was willing to fight him, but not make the trip over to London. Now, however, the fight is on for March 21 in the United Kingdom.

“I feel like the fans are pushing for this now. Now, they’re getting what I’ve been saying for years, that I’m the best fighter in the U.K. I’m proving it every fight. I can see that they’re pushing to see that Woodley fight in the London main event and I think that’s the fight that makes sense,” Edwards said.

“I’m hoping he takes it, but from what I’m hearing he won’t come to London. He says he’ll fight, but not in London. That makes no sense. We’re in negotiations now and hopefully I’ll know this week. I’m meeting with the UFC, so I’ll have more information about that and what’s going on. What I’m hearing is he doesn’t want to come to London, so we’re trying to force him to come to London.”
