Garcia lost his last time out in the octagon when he was beaten by  Sean Strickland via a technical knock – out and it is fair to say that Strickland’s victory was well deserved and Garcia knows it. He was bullied around from the start as Strickland looked in complete control. This means Garcia would have beaten himself up for the loss, watched the tapes umpteen number of times, figured out where and how we went wrong and trained immensely to void his short comings. Garica will be hungry to prove himself when he comes up against Mike Pyle in the near future.

Pyle, on the other hand, is a 41 – year old fighter who has not been in the greatest of form recently either. Going back to his last six fights, he lost four of them out of which three were knock outs. That is certainly not a record any fighter would be proud of.

Therefore, despite Garcia’s submissive outing the last time around, he is still going into this fight a strong favorite and this is great chance for him to prove his mettle and gain back his confidence. He will be looking to add himself to the list of people that have knocked out Pyle. As far as Pyle is considered, if does happen to get knocked out again, we would think that it is time for him to pick up a new hobby.

Having said that, we must not disregard the experience that Pyle has. He could actually surprise everyone. If Garcia is over confident always on the front foot without much concern about defense, then Pyle may just be able to sneak in a knock out himself.   Even though it sounds plausible, we just cannot see it fabricating in real life, we would go with Garcia to win by knock out.

UFC 207 PICKS AND PREDICTIONS

Brandon Thatch vs. Niko Price

Brandon Thatch is heavily favored when he comes up against Niko Price despite the fact that Niko Price is undefeated so far. However, we know that all good things come to an end and we are pretty positive that Niko’s stellar run and form is coming to its end as well. Niko who is also known as Rukus was actually supposed to fight Sabah Homasi, however, Homasi backed out for reasons unknown and undisclosed. A lot of people speculate that it could be an injury, but speculation is just speculation.

Thatch has a lot to prove given that his last three outings have ended in failures. He will be looking to make up for it and this is the perfect opportunity for him as he as a strong favorite and for good reason. However, if things don’t go the way he plans them to go, it could really break Thatch and his reputation and can blow a deadly punch to his confidence as well. His last three fights were against Gunnar Nelson, Benson Henderson and Siyar Bahadurazada and they were all able to get the better of him.

For Price too, this could be a make or break fight because this is his first time on the big stage. We would recommend a bet of Thatch to win via Technical Knock Out.

Tim Means vs Alex Oliveira

This fight is going to be difficult to call! Means and Oliveira both are coming into the fight with two consecutive victories each and full of confidence.

There will certainly be a personal aspect to the fight considering their recent Twitter spat. Both fighters are technically gifted and very evenly matched over all, but if we just HAD to put our money on someone, we would go with Oliveira who might be able to snuff out Means by submission.

We have patiently waiting for December 3rd in order to witness The Ultimate Fighter 24 finale and the wait is now drawing to a close and the excitement has reached fever pitch. The main card features some mouth watering match ups as gifted fighters from all over the world try to prove their mettle in the cage. The fans are going to have an absolute blast watching The Ultimate Fighter 24 finale come December 3rd and it also serves as a great opportunity for  punters to make some serious money if they are clever about who to put their money on. One of the fights that is generating a lot of talk and speculation is that of Jake Ellenberger Vs. Jorge Masvidal.

Despite having a lower cage rank than his opponent, Masvidal has been tipped to win this fight by book keepers. However, it is going to be a very close call and in fact may just be one of the most closely contested fights of the night. Both fighters weigh in at 169 lbs and are both in their early thirties (Ellenberger is 31 and Masvidal is 32).

However, Masvidal has a height advantage as he stands two feet taller than Ellenberger. Masvidal is 5 foot 11 inches whereas Ellenberger measures 5 foot nine inches. Even though Masvidal is taller, Ellenberger still has the same reach as Masvidal at 73 inches.

The things which Masvidal has going for him are – he has a stronger jaw, he is taller, better on the floor, and puts up a determined fight.

Ellenberger on the other hand has a much better take down defense and is also a quick finisher.

We will have to wait and watch how it all plays out.

Mark your calendars because come December 3rd, some epic fighting action is going to go down. The highly anticipated The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale is almost here as we inch closer to it every day. Fans of the sport and also punters who try their best to make some bank by placing bets on these fights are certainly looking forward to fight night.

In this article, we will focus on the fight between Gray Maynard and Ryan Hall. Maynard is also known as The Bully, and that name really needs no explaining if you ask us. He has eleven pounds over his opponent as he weighs in at 155 lbs and Ryan Hall weighs 144 lbs. However, Maynard is two inches shorter than the 5 foot 10 Ryan Hall and is also six years older at 37.

Experts and bookies however still seem to heavily favor Maynard despite the fact that he is much older than Hall. They bookies have Maynard at 90% chances of emerging victorious. Maynard’s cage rank is 2,005 while Ryan Hall is ranked at 1,621 which is substantially better, but at over one and a half thousand ranks out, experts say the ranking really is not an accurate estimation of the pragmatic reality and current form and mindset of the two fighters.

Despite the fact that he is the underdog, Hall does have several advantages over Maynard. He has significantly heavier hands, is a much better grappler and will be looking to take the fight to the ground as soon as possible, and also has a better reach provided he is two inches taller than Maynard.

However, Maynard is heavier, more experienced and technically blessed. It seems like he may be a little too much for Hall to handle.

The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale – Henry Cejudo vs. Joseph Benavidez

The Ultimate Fighter Finale 24 is right around the corner and the main card is looking increasingly more exciting by the day. The Ultimate Fighter Finale 24 is scheduled to take place on December 3rd and mixed marital art fans and punters alike all over the world simply cannot seem to wait for it.

Having said that, let us dive right into one of the fights that is on the main card. Joseph Benavidez takes on Henry Cejudo. They are both comparatively shorter fighters and both measure 5 foot 4 inches and weigh in at 125 lbs each. Henry Cejudo is the younger fighter and is 29 years old whereas Joseph Benavidez is three years older at 32.

The bookies seem to favor the older, more experienced Benavidez. They have him at 87% chances of winning and suggest that he will win by a knock out in the second round. This is despite the fact that Benavidez holds a much lower cage rank at 2,082 when compared to Cejudo who is placed at 1,749th rank.

The only apparent upper hand that Cejudo seems to have is the fact that he is around ten percent younger than Benavidez. However, Benavidez has the edge in multiple facets, including, a much better submission offense, quicker finishes, defensively more sound, has a much stronger jaw, and is certainly also go the heavier hands among the two of them.

Cejudo’s only chance seems like a freak knock out or capitalizing on a jarring error made by Benavidez or he may emerge victorious by decision. It is very unlikely that Cejudo will win by submission since that is not his strong suit at all.

The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale – Jamie Moyle vs. Kailin Curran

The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale will get underway in Las Vegas on the 3rd of December and the main card has already been announced and it is shaping up to be one epic fight night. The women’s fight on the card is certainly now a letdown and promises to be just as much an exciting fight as any of the men’s battles.

The women’s fight will see newcomer Jamie Moyle try and handle Kailin Curran which is not going to be an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. The bookies are favoring Curran for this one and have her at a 77% chance of winning and it is no surprise given that she has a lot more experience and is the better athlete among the two.

The venue for the fight night has been declared as The Pearl at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The fight will be telecasted on Fox Sports 1. Curran must surely be feeling a bit hot under the collar given that she is going to be under tremendous pressure to win this fight. After an almost unstoppable start with three convincing victories, she has lost both of her previous fights against Paige VanZant and Alex Chambers respectively. Curran will definitely be looking to capitalize and she has been provided with a golden opportunity for doing exactly that.

Moyle will be making her TUF debut. She is 27 years old and has fought four times professionally under the Invicta banner. Her last fight was a loss to Sharon Jacobson and Moyle will also in way be looking to get back to winning ways.

The fight should be closely contested and an absolute feat to watch for mixed martial arts fans.
