Earlier this week on Tuesday, Bellator officially announced a couple more illustrious fights which will transpire on their upcoming Bellator 160 fight card.

Bellator 160 is all set to take place on August 27that the Honda Center in Anaheim in California. The main event being show cased on the night will be the fight against ex UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson who will take on the formidable Patricio “Pitbull” Freire in the highlight fight of the Bellator 160 card.

Other fights which were announced are also impressive match ups that are all definitely worth tuning into. Saad Awad has been pitted against Derek Anderson in the main card as the light weight bout. Saad has a professional record of 19 wins and 7 losses while Anderson has 13 wins to 2 losses.

Another highly anticipated fight which will also transpire one Bellator 160 is one where Kevin Ferguson Jr. the son of none other than Kimbo Slice will make his debut against Compton’s Joey Davis.

Turning out focus back to the main event, the fight between Pitbull and Henderson will be televised on SPIKE where you can watch it live and for absolutely no cost at all. The fight will kick off at 10 p.m. eastern time / 9 pm central time.

Both Henderson and Pitbull are proven fighters that have achieved a lot in their own right, and it is going to be a tough nut to crack in terms of predicting a winner. We will just have to wait for judgment day to see how it all goes down.

Why You Should Not Miss UFC Fight Night 201

Let us firstly start off with none other than the main event of the night which is Tyler Woodley vs. Robbie Lawler. Let us firstly start off with none other than the main event of the night which is Tyler Woodley vs. Robbie Lawler. It was not long ago that Woodley actually joking exclaimed that most of the welterweight division in the sport thought of Lawler as the boogey man, and when you actually think about it – can you actually blame them for perceiving Lawler as a monster? Because, the fact of the matter is that he is a beast in the octagon who has made a name for himself by putting up some of the most violent, career ending fights that we have witnessed in the UFC.

Prior to the matchup being officially announced when Lawler was doing media interviews, he was asked on more than one occasion what he thought about fighting Conor McGregor. Lawler wasted not a moment and replied confidently that even though he felt the Irish man was a good draw, things would have not been pretty for McGregor if they were to have a go at each other. The interviewer, we vividly remember, asked Lawler why it would have not been pretty for McGregor to which Lawler replied rather eerily that unlike Nate Diaz, he would not have taken just McGregor’s neck, but would have taken his soul.

This only bears further testimony to the fact that Lawler is a monster, and you know what else goes to prove this point? His professional fighting record! 16 wins to just one loss (which came on UFC fight night 171 against Johnny Hendricks and was a very closely contested fight). Lawler is attracted to violence, he lusts to fight, and this makes him especially dangerous and many experts think that it is exactly this deep seeded desire to fight which makes Lawler the incredible lean mean fighting machine that he is.

If there is someone that can take him on, it would have to be Woodley. Lawler is unquestionably intimidating, but Woodley isn’t scared and Woodley certainly isn’t one to back away from a fight. Granted, Woodley is not exactly the kind of vicious, all or nothing fighter that Lawler is, but in his own right, Woodley is a very gifted, technical fighter that, on his day, has what it takes to take Lawler down and give Lawler a taste of his own medicine.

The only concern for Woodley would be that he has been out of action for a long time and we do not know if he will come out rusty on fight night. However, Woodley is a gifted boxer who throws quick punches in lightning quick succession and can also defend himself better than Lawler on his feet.

Just for this fight alone, UFC 201 is worth tuning in to, but if that does not convince you then the rest of the fight card is very impressive too with Namajunas taking on Kowalkiewicz being one of the highlights of the night in the women’s category.

UFC 201: Rose Namajunas Vs Karolia Kowalkiewicz

Rose Namajunas has been one of the most dominant woman fighters in the sport right now and is arguably the best fighter in the strawweight division in the world. Rose Namajunas has been one of the most dominant woman fighters in the sport right now and is arguably the best fighter in the strawweight division in the world. Incredibly, she has achieved all this and is only 24 years old. The future looks bright for Namajunas who has climbed ladders to the top during her brief MMA career. One thing that really sets her a class apart from other fighters is her striking game which is in a league of its own. She has fine – tuned her striking and all other aspects of her fighting over the recent past and has transformed a really top shelf fighter.

Namajunas is blessed with timing and reach which she uses together to deliver tactically flawless blows right at the very edge of her reach. Furthermore, she has also vastly improved her grappling which was already highly impressive during her younger fighting days. Namajunas is also multi disciplined and holds a black belt in karate and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and being well versed with techniques from these disciplines means that she is especially lethal when the fight gets close to the edge and she can get her opponent on the cage and to the mat.

On the other hand, the Polish Karolina Kowalkiewicz has a decade of experience under her belt and is fluent in both Krav Maga and Muay Thai. The polish fighter is strong and agile which makes landing a hit on her all the more difficult.

It is going to be an interesting matchup which we have to concede is very difficult to call of predict, but if we HAD to pick a winner, we would go with Rose Namajunas.

UFC 201 is all set to unfold in Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on July 30th 2016 and the fight card looks very promising indeed. One fight that really catches the eye is the welterweight face off wherein reigning champ Robbie Lawler will take on Tyron Woodley. The fight will aired on a pay per view basis, in fact, it is UFC 201’s pay per view main event.

Another fight that stands out and is highly anticipated in UFC fight night 201 is the fight between fan favorite Rose Namajunas who will have to fend off the fiercely rising Polish female fighter Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Now let’s take a look at what bets could make you some moolah.

Looking at the women’s fight, it is important to consider the impeccable form that Rose “Thug” Namajunas has been in lately. Not only is she on a superb winning streak, but what really stands out is the manner in which she is winning her fights and the sheer confidence with which she is going into them.

Karolina is rising to fame at an unprecedented rate, but we feel that she is taking on a challenge much too difficult for her at this point in her career. We are pretty confident that Namajunas should be able to clinch the victory, but expect Karolina to create some problems for her.

Turning our attention to Lawler vs Woodley, it is hard to disagree with the bookies on this one. Both are tactical fighters, and are both not afraid to go with the flow either. However, Lawler looked a shadow of himself against Condit and that is not promising at all. Our pick for this would be Woodley by a first round knock – out.

Trevin Giles Cares About Quick Finishes, Not Social Media Presence

Trevin Giles is way too busy knocking out his opponents as quickly as possible to have the time or inclination to take to twitter. Trevin Giles is way too busy knocking out his opponents as quickly as possible to have the time or inclination to take to twitter. Giles’ schedule is packed full of fights as he now headlines RFA 41 and will face off against none other than Josh Clark.

Giles’ professional record is impeccable with 6 winsand zero losses and Josh Clark is no slouch either, he has 9 wins to his name and has lost just two fights. Giles hardly has time to breath, not too long after his fight with Clark, Giles will be summoned up to face off again and this time in the octagon with him will be Isaac Villanueva.

One of the things that really impresses about Giles is not only his flawless professional record, but that fact that he was able to knock out all but two of his opponent’s right in the first round of the fight. And guess what? The two that made it out of the first round were knocked out in the second round.

Giles has expressed that he is focused on his career, his fights, his opponents, his strategy and his training right now and does not really care too much for self promoting, and monitoring his opponents and fellow fighter on social media.

Giles is of the opinion that his form and his quick finishes will attract all the attention he wants and we find it hard to disagree with that analogy.

Jake Shields Gives Us His Opinions On Title Shot With Fitch And What He Makes Of McGregor vs. Diaz 2

It is no secret how shields felt about Conor McGregor, in fact, Shields was simply ecstatic when Diaz took down McGregor recently. Shields had a microphone hooked up and everyone could hear him taunt Conor McGregor as the fight slowly but surely slipped away from McGregor and into the hands of Diaz.

Shields could not hide his Joy and the taunting got a bit much and he had to be censored off. Why such strong feelings? Well, ever since McGregor jawed at him in the pre – bout conference, the bout had become more than just a fight for Shields, it was now personal.

Shields confessed in a recent interview that maybe his emotions got a little too out of control and he said somethings he should not have, but he justified the way he reacted to the downfall of McGregor by reasoning that McGregor had talked a lot of *insert explicit word here*in the preceding weeks and so Shields’ emotions were a little riled up.

When asked what he thought about a possible McGregor Diaz rematch, Shields said he did not believe McGregor would be up to take on Nate Diaz again. Shields continued that McGregor was a good fighter, but had gotten overhyped and then received a reality check courtesy of Nate Diaz.

Shields added that McGregor would have lost irrespective of whether he taunted him or not, and said that he was just trying to get in his head and thereby provide a helping hand to Nate Diaz.
